A Mixed Bag of Oral Lesions in Tots and Teens: Diagnostic Tips and Treatment Options

Of interest to Dentists, Students & Residents, Dental Auxiliaries and Dental Office Staff

Course Description:

There is much to explore in the mouth of children! Rapid growth, developing dentition, infectious diseases and congenital disorders make children different from adults. Although most oral lesions in children are benign, important imposters are interspersed. In addition, there are new oral lesions, infectious diseases, oral crazes and habits and dental anomalies that are a must to know. Updated facts about common lesions and treatment approaches are based on the best evidence. The session will start with symptomatic mucosal lesions and progress to oral enlargements. The goal is to arrange this mixed bag of oral lesions into an organized bundle of care.

Objectives:

  • Diagnose a variety of common oral lesions in children
  • Discover useful new entities and new findings about well-known disorders
  • Select the best management approaches for the child-patient
